The link is the access control
A Wowzey experience opens at a unique, unguessable web address. There is no public directory and nothing is indexed by search engines. Anyone with the link can open it, and anyone without it cannot find it — so treat the link the way you would treat a photo you would not post publicly: share it with the recipient directly, not in a large open group unless you mean for that group to see it.
What happens to the photos you upload
- Photos are used to build the experience you created and are shown only inside that experience
- They are not sold, not shared with advertisers, and not used to train anything
- Deletion requests are honoured within 72 hours, which removes the experience and its media
- Full detail is in the privacy policy
Sharing options and when to use them
- Direct to one person — paste the link in a one-to-one WhatsApp chat. Best for anything personal.
- Scheduled delivery — Wowzey sends the link by WhatsApp at a time you set, in the recipient's time zone. Best when timing matters or you will be busy.
- Group board contributions — a separate contribution link lets specific people add messages before the reveal. Share that link only with the people you want contributing.
What to check before sending something personal
- Are you pasting the link into a one-to-one chat, or a group? Confirm the audience is who you intend.
- If it is a surprise, will anyone in a shared chat spoil it? Send direct.
- For a scheduled send, is the recipient's number correct with country code, and is the time in their zone?
- Do the photos include anyone who would not want to be in a shared experience?
