    What makes this template special

    Watercolour floral wreath hero

Your couple names sit inside a hand-painted watercolour wreath — blush roses, sage leaves, and lavender sprigs framing the moment.

    Scroll-triggered petal blooms

As guests scroll down, individual flower petals bloom into view at each section — the digital equivalent of a garden in full bloom.

    Parallax hero photography

Your couple photo scrolls at a different speed to the foreground elements — creating subtle depth that feels premium without premium pricing.

    Gilda Display elegance

Gilda Display headings have an editorial, magazine-cover quality — this is the template that will get copied by your friends for their own weddings.

    Pastel event palette

Each ceremony event is displayed in a soft pastel tone matching the occasion — blush for Mehendi, lavender for Sangeet, sage for the wedding day.

Is Floral Pastel right for your wedding?

Floral Pastel is deliberately the least region-specific template on Wowzey, and that's exactly why it works so well for couples blending two different traditions — an interfaith or intercultural wedding, a couple with one Hindu and one Christian ceremony, or simply a pair who don't want their invitation tied to one community's iconography. Where a mandap or temple gopuram commits you to a specific ritual visual language, a watercolour floral wreath doesn't, which is a large part of why it's become the most-used free template on the platform.

It also suits smaller or more contemporary celebrations well — a court registration followed by a garden lunch, an engagement announcement, or a reception that isn't structured around a full multi-day ceremony calendar. Because the design doesn't lean on any single culture's motifs, each of your event cards needs to do a bit more work to communicate what's actually happening — a Mehendi card reads clearly if you add a one-line description ('henna and music, come in bright colours') rather than relying on the visuals to imply it.

Gilda Display's editorial quality is intentionally magazine-like rather than ceremonial, so it photographs and screenshots well for couples planning to share their invitation on Instagram alongside their wedding hashtag. It's free on every plan, which is also why you'll see it chosen disproportionately by first-time users setting up their very first invitation on Wowzey.

    Frequently asked questions

Is Floral Pastel suited to a specific region or community?+

No — it's intentionally neutral, which makes it a strong choice for interfaith or intercultural couples, or anyone who doesn't want their invitation tied to one community's specific ritual imagery. It works equally well for a Hindu wedding, a civil ceremony, or a mixed-tradition celebration.

Since the design doesn't include ritual-specific visuals, how do we make sure guests understand what each event actually involves?+

Add a short one- or two-line description to each event card — for example noting dress code or what to expect ('henna and music, wear bright colours' for Mehendi) — since the neutral floral design won't imply the ceremony type the way a mandap or temple visual would.

Is Floral Pastel free, and is there a catch?+

It's fully free with no catch — it's Wowzey's most-used free template, available on the Free plan with no payment required to publish.

Can we use this template for something other than a wedding, like an engagement announcement?+

Yes — because it isn't built around a specific set of wedding ceremonies, many couples use it for engagement announcements or save-the-dates as well, simply editing the event list down to what applies.
