It suits Marwari, Rajput, and other North Indian families where the wedding is as much a family reunion as a ceremony, and where the invitation itself is expected to signal that scale before a single guest arrives.
The palette isn't decorative for its own sake. Deep crimson echoes the bridal chunari and sindoor that anchor a North Indian wedding, while the antique gold ornamentation nods to the gota-patti and zari embroidery found on Rajasthani bridal lehengas and the safa (turban) worn by the groom's family.
