    What makes this template special

    Cinematic night hero

Your couple photo sits against a deep royal blue gradient that evokes a Kashmiri twilight — the mountains behind, the lake below, the chinar gold all around.

    Leaf sway parallax

Chinar leaves sway softly as guests scroll — the gentle motion of the valley breeze, translated to a phone screen.

    Kani shawl border motifs

Section borders use geometric patterns inspired by the legendary Kani shawls of Kashmir — centuries of craft heritage as your invitation's frame.

    Slow parallax hero depth

The hero scrolls with a slow, deep parallax that gives the impression of standing at the edge of the Dal Lake looking towards the valley.

    EB Garamond warmth

EB Garamond's classical warmth makes ceremony details feel like illuminated manuscripts — the invitation as a heritage object.

    Paper-fold gateway

The invitation opens with a delicate paper-fold reveal — like a letter from the valley, unfolded with care.

Is Kashmiri Valley right for your wedding?

Kashmiri Valley is built for a wedding that draws on Kashmiri Pandit tradition specifically, rather than the valley's culture in general — the Kani shawl-inspired border patterns and chinar-leaf imagery reference craft and landscape motifs that carry real meaning for Kashmiri Pandit families, many of whom now celebrate weddings outside the valley itself, in Delhi, Jammu, or further afield. It suits couples who want the invitation to carry a specific sense of homeland and heritage for a diaspora community, rather than a generic mountain-destination aesthetic.

Some Kashmiri Pandit families include ceremonies beyond the standard Hindu list — Devgon (a ritual invoking family deities), Maenziraat (the henna night), and Livun (a house-cleansing ritual performed before the wedding) among them — none of which are pre-loaded by default, so it's worth adding the ones your family observes as their own event cards rather than relying on the generic Mehendi and Sangeet labels. The royal-blue-to-night-sky gradient and slow parallax were built around evening photography, so this template particularly suits a Lagan (the main ceremony) or reception held after sunset.

This is a Premium template. Given how often Kashmiri Pandit weddings today involve guests travelling from several cities, the Hotels and Maps sections that come with Premium templates are genuinely useful here, and the higher guest-list and RSVP limits on Premium plans matter for a dispersed, multi-city family.

    Frequently asked questions

What ceremonies are specific to a Kashmiri Pandit wedding that aren't in the standard event list?+

Some families include Devgon (invoking family deities before the wedding), Maenziraat (the henna ceremony), and Livun (a ritual house-cleansing), in addition to the main Lagan ceremony. Not every family follows every ritual, so it's best to list only the ones your own family observes.

How should the invitation handle a wedding where the family now lives outside Kashmir?+

Many diaspora Kashmiri Pandit families hold the wedding in Delhi, Jammu, or another city while keeping the ceremony structure and rituals the same — the invitation should simply state the actual venue city clearly, since guests unfamiliar with the family's origin may otherwise assume it's in Srinagar. Adding a short note about the family's Kashmiri heritage in the story section is a touch some couples choose to include.

Is Kashmiri Valley a paid template?+

Yes, it's on Wowzey's Premium plan, also included in Corporate plans, which unlocks higher guest and RSVP limits and the Hotels/Maps sections, useful given how often this wedding style involves guests travelling from multiple cities.

Can we add extra ceremony events beyond the default six without losing the template's design?+

Yes, you can add custom event cards for ceremonies like Devgon or Maenziraat alongside the default ones, and they'll follow the same royal-blue-and-gold card styling as the rest of the invitation automatically.
